My Pit Bull gave birth to 11 pups 2 days ago and things seemed to be going well until I realized that one of the pups had not been cleaned and the mom wasn't even nursing the pup. The mom was sitting this pup to the side all alone. This pup is also much smaller and seems to be breathing differently than the others. I tried leaving this 1 pup and mom alone, but the mom just stared at the pup. What can I do to keep this pup alive?

Who knows why the mother won't help her pup? You must take the pup to your vet now as it is failing fast and needs help. You also need help in learning to feed and help it survive!
As hard as it may be, it's best to let nature take its course or you bottle feed every 3 hours until it's time.
Mom dogs know if there is something wrong with a puppy. Sometimes more than one. A Veterinarian gave the best advice - give it 3 days and see if it survives. You may see one problem with the pup on the outside but there are most likely 2+ issues that you can't see on the inside.
I know form recent experience, I took the pup the mom pushed aside and that baby made it just shy of 10 days. His reason for being pushed away was very obvious on the outside, he was born with 5 legs. I couldn't bare to let him suffer and I can only hope those 10 days we had he wasn't in pain.
In the end, the mom dog knows exactly what is going on. So when in doubt- let mamma do her job.
