My 8 month old puppy was diagnosed Wednesday with parvo. He didn't have any vomiting and little diarrhea. Last night he started having excess saliva and then gets sick. It is yellow and slimy. He did it again this morning. We are giving him antibiotics and fluids under his skin at home. What should we do?

This can happen with some dogs because of the liquids you are injecting under the skin. This can cause the thick saliva in his throat that he can spit out. The dog is just like us if we take antibiotics on an empty stomach it can cause this type of reaction. You need to keep an eye on him and if he keeps throwing up the yellow looking saliva I would take him back to the vet. He could be having an issue with the antibiotics.
Please note none of our vets on here and we can only give you advice on what we know. If you have any real concerns it is best to call your vet and talk with them. This could actually save your dog's life.
