I recently found out my 3 month German Shepherd puppy has parvo. And I have been keeping him hydrated with Pedialyte and chicken broth. He seems like he wants to drink, but won't. But he is walking around and pees. He poops bloody liquid. He first did it when we took him to the vet today and he was given a shot and meds. Is there anything more I can do?

Recovery can be very slow. If he is pooping blood and not drinking you need to inform the vet.
Prayers and healing wishes for your pup. I know parvo survivors and learned that one of the best ways to beat this illness is to have good vet care and follow vet instructions to the letter. Some vets do IV in their offices to keep the pup hydrated. Since you have already established vet care, best to confirm with the vet the best next steps.
Post back with an update. Prayers will continue.
Hi,
I am posting this link. It suggests using activated charcoal and pedialyte. I hopethis helps you. Prayers and love sent to you.

Keep you Vet informed about any changes. He may want to add new things to the treatment. It can be a long treatment, a week to a month depending on how sick the puppy is. Usually the 1st week is the worst. It is tiring and discouraging, so hang in there.
