I have a male cat Max. He likes to go out and catch rodents. I do not let him out willingly. He has a brother and sister that live in the same house, and he is constantly crying at me for food. I don't know if he may have worms, but he has visited the vet before for this. I have researched that, and maybe he just wants attention. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? Thank you.

Most cats who eat mice will get worms. I would worm him. You can get it at Walmart for under $8.
If Max has intestinal worms, he is probably crying for food as the worms are growing and eating his food-he is not getting enough nutrition. Please immediately give him food and take him to your vet.
There are several types of worms that Max might have-from intestinal to heart. The over the counter (OTC) dewormers may work for intestinal worms but there are no OTC and no prescriptive medication for cat heart worms. Heartworm prevention is cheap and easy when treating dogs, however, the best treatment for a cat is prevention. Heartworms in cats causes respiratory disease that often goes unnoticed, untreated and is very expensive to treat. You can read more here:

Please immediately take Max to your vet for a diagnosis and recommended treatment.
I have a 21 year old cat that was always crying for food, took her to the vet and it's an issue with her thyroid. Please see your vet for a complete check up and make sure they check your kitty's thyroid, it can be easily controlled with meds.
No, it can't be easily controlled with meds. Our cat died. If they don't have the surgery, which is $1,000+, your cat will die.
My girl had hyperthyroidism for about 11yrs. She got 2 pills a day and bloodwork every 6 months and her thyroid was controlled very well. I'm so sorry your baby died.
