I again need to re caulk the tub area. Are you supposed to do this every year? Does anyone know of a great caulk that I can use?

Remove ALL old caulking (use a thin putty knife), clean entire area (I use rubbing alcohol)- let dry, then apply a high-quality, about $5/tube, Kitchen & Bathroom caulk. Should take care of your problem.

I need some advice on how to apply caulking around my tub, I've done it 2 times in the last 6 months and it continues to crack.
