My dog had surgery about a month ago on her leg after a Pit Bull attack. She was checked out by 2 vets and they said her health was fine. She had to get stitches and a metal plate with screws in it to put the bones back together. She was walking like her old self again. But yesterday my kids found her by the fence in our yard, dead. I don't understand what happened. She was fine and healthy Monday, went missing and was found dead on Friday. Can anyone give me some answers?

Sorry for your lost, It's the hardest not knowing. Only a Vet can tell you what she died from. Maybe stress /attack from injuries.
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your fur baby! That is so sad. I agree with the other poster who suggested getting your vet to check her out. An autopsy is the only thing that will give a definitive answer.

Sometimes a body will reject an implant or medical device, such as a metal place. As well a body is susceptible to infections after medical procedures.
It's sad in animals that we don't know when they are in distress unless it is very acute. He could have been sick all along from it and you not know it.
