Ceiling Fan and Light Tripping Breaker?

The ceiling fan and light will not work and when I flip the switch it trips the circuit breaker.

If it worked before, you probably have a problem with the wiring. If it never worked, it uses too much electricity for that circuit

Hi,

I would go ahead and have an electrician come out and give you a free estimate. This way you will know what is wrong and how much it will cost to fix it.

Have a blessed day,

I am not one to tell people to mess with electricity so I suggest checking with your friends and family and getting a reputable electrician to look at this.

I am always afraid of fires from DYI projects.

Post back what you learn!! Hope it is a VERY easy fix!
