My Beagle named Rocky was fine and active one day and the next he was going downhill really fast. He is 4 months old and was diagnosed with parvo on Tuesday and was at the vet for a night. He came home because the vet said he wasn't bad enough to be there. He came home Wednesday and got really bad. I got IV and antibiotics from vet and he was on that while being at home. I didn't leave his side. I talked to him and petted him and showed him lots of love. I gave him Pedialyte and Pepto to help his stomach. He went through two bags of fluid and still would not eat or drink water. I took him back to the vet and he is there on fluids and not moving too much. He'll respond when I say his name. I go and visit him; I don't want him thinking I left him. I'm scared he's not going to make it and I was wondering what are the chances he will.

A long time ago, my first dog had parvo and he survived. He spent 1 week at the vets on an IV and by the end of the week he finally started to eat.
Many years later my boyfriend brought home another dog and right away before I could get to the vet for his shots he had parvo. I think the dog came here and was already sick with parvo. I took him immediately to the vet and he also spent a week there. He survived and he is now 8 years old. You would never know he was ever sick.
As long as he is in the care of the vet you have a good chance of him making it. I was told 50/50 on my dog because he was so sick when I got him tot he vets in the morning. He had started to have blood in his poop and it was runny. They gave him a lot of shots and put him on an IV immediately. He was really bad for the first 4 days and then all of a sudden he snapped out of it. I was very lucky.
He is under a vet's care and is drinking. Those are good signs. The vet will do all he can. I hope your dog makes it.
I had two dogs with parvo and the puppy I had survived it.It is a bad disease but your puppy is getting the best treatment there is.
It sounds like he's on the right track and has great care. :)
it sounds like he will be okay since he is with the vet and they know everything to do for a case like this - they want him to be okay also.
Be sure to discuss with your vet what measures you should take at home to remove any traces of this virus as your puppy may be safe when he comes home but another pet could still catch it if they visit before any cleaning is done as this bug hangs around for a long time.
