They sell several different types and colors of sun block curtains, just because they are sun blocking does not mean they have to be dark in color. If they are lighter in color they are typically just thicker or made from different material than your regular curtains but as far as I know you can pretty much get any color you like and still have them be sun blocking curtains.
You can buy sun block liners and use them under regular drapes.
