My smartphone charger adapter for the car has been used a lot over the past several months. Taking it and putting it in and pulling it out to put it away makes it get loose. You will think your phone is charging when you plugged it in without checking to see that the light is on and it is not charging, it actually is discharging.
Time to buy a new one right? Not so fast! You can use the loose one quite effectively to ensure a good connection. All you need is a small rubber band that you can wrap around the car phone charger jack. When you push it in the cigarette lighter or outlet, it won't slide or move to go off.
As you can see in the pictures, it's very simple. You just stretch it across the plastic part, not the aluminum contact pieces. Once you have the rubber band positioned just right (as in the photo) and you push it it to the electric socket, check to make sure that the light indicating that it is charging is on and it will stay on until you pull it out.
