These simple to make cheese plate labels will help your guests enjoy the snacks you put out even more. Everybody likes learning a little something about the food that they are eating.
Total Time: 10 Minutes
Supplies:
- Toothpicks
- Scotch Tape
- Paper
Steps:
- Design your labels. You need one label about 1" by 2" for each cheese. When folded over this will make a "flag" about 1" square.
The pictured labels are for Sartori Bella Vitano cheeses. I went to their website and downloaded a graphic of the label for each cheese. I pasted each graphic twice into my word processor so when cut out and folded over both sides of the "flag" would have the same image.
You can do something similar with the name of the cheese (e.g. "Vermont Cheddar") in a small font. Or, simply by cutting out squares about 1" by 2" and then writing the name of the cheese on each side.
- Cut out and fold the label square. Tape the label to the toothpick. I found it easiest to use one piece of tape which attached the paper just to the side of the toothpick as shown on the blue and green picks in the picture.
- Place the toothpicks in your cheese and enjoy! Perhaps with some Wensleydale or Comté.
