Photo Description I had never seen one before that day and was very excited to be able to mark it down on my life list of birds I had seen. He has now flown south for the winter and will hopefully return this next year in full adult plumage!
I captured this picture in September while I was birding at a local pond. This little bird was elusive, hopping from branch to branch, keeping an eye on me at all times. His beautiful green plumage confused as to what species he was but I soon discovered it was a juvenile Chestnut-sided warbler!
