Delicious chicken in a to-die-for sauce served over pasta or rice will make any dinner special and really impress company!
Total Time: 30 minutes
Yield: enough for 4
Source: My friend Debbie.
Ingredients:
- 6 chicken tenders (or use breasts cut in strips or even large cubes if you prefer)
- 1 brick (8 oz.) cream cheese
- 1 pkg. dry Good Seasons Italian Dressing
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cream of anything soup (I usually use cream of mushroom)
Steps:
- Put some oil in a large skillet and add the package of dry Italian dressing. Mix well. When heated, add the chicken. On high heat, saute' until browned. Don't worry about cooking it all through, just get it browned.
- While chicken is browning, put the cream cheese and soup in a bowl and microwave until soft or in a pot on the stove and stir until soft and mixable. Mix together well.
- Remove browned chicken from pot and set aside. Lower heat to medium low. Add wine and soup mixture to pan and mix well with the seasonings. Add chicken back to the pot.
- Cover and let cook through for about 15 minutes. Remove the chicken and place in on a platter or over hot pasta or rice. Add the rest of the 'gravy' to a bowl in case anyone wants extra.
- Serve with a salad or veggies and enjoy!
