We have three chickens that are almost three years old. Just before winter, they stopped laying eggs. Do chickens stop laying eggs at this age normally? If not, how can we get them to lay eggs again?

I feed my hens egg-ration. You can get it from your local feed store. Egg-ration has everything a hen needs to lay eggs, lot of nutrients. Also you can feed chickens in general, crushed corn, a basic food. Good luck.
Hi. My experience with chickens is that they always stop laying, or lay very few eggs in the winter. Too cold, I guess. Just keep feeding them though, and they should start laying again in the winter.
Chickens lay according to the length of the day. Summer is highest production and winter is less or none depending on where you live in the winter. That is why chicken farms housing layers have lights on for certain lengths of time so egg production doesn't fall off.
Thank you for the great feedback. We are feeding them "egg laying formula" food. We also let them out in the afternoon and they seem to enjoy that. Good to know that they will lay again when the weather is warm. Who knew that chickens would make such great pets.
