Children Receiving Survivor Benefits?

My wife died in 2014 and my three children receive survivor benefits, but I do not. I would like to get remarried and want to know if my children will stop receiving these benefits if I get married.

Only the Social Security Administration can answer your question; you can make an appointment in a local office. However, your children are receiving benefits because of their mother's death. I believe the only way their benefits could change is if they reach the age of 18 or 19 or are adopted in the future.

My Mother still received benefits for my siblings and I after she remarried. I think they stopped when we reached 18. This many years ago.
