Silver Post Medal for All Time! 293 Posts This is a warm and stylish beret hat for that cute little girl in your life. The last time I was at Michael's craft store, they had this gorgeous yarn called "Loops and Threads Charisma". With such a pretty mixture of colors, I wanted to show them off with a hat.
Very easy and enjoyable to work up, #5 yarn and an "L" hook make this hat a breeze. Have fun! :)

Supplies:
- "L" crochet hook
- Loops and Threads Charisma yarn
- scissors
- embroidery needle
The hat in the picture above was made with the color "black raspberry". The hat you see instructions for below was made with the color "eggplant". Only 1 ball is needed for 1 hat.
Steps:
- Ch 5, join in the first ch to make a ring.
- Ch 3
- Work 13 dc in your ring.
- Join with a slip stitch in the top of your ch 3, see?
- This round done!
- Ch 3
- 1 dc in the same space as your ch 3.
- 2 dc in each stitch around.
- You will join in the top of your ch 3 as you did in the last row. See?
- Ch 3
- 1 dc in the same space as your ch 3.
- 1 dc in the next stitch.
- 2 dc in the next stitch, 1 dc in the next stitch, repeat this until the end of this round.
- Now join as before.
- Ch 3, 1 dc in the same space as your ch 3.
- 1 dc in each of the next 2 stitches.
- 2 dc in the next stitch, 1 dc in each of the next 2 stitches. Repeat this for the entire round, join in the usual manner.
- Ch 3
- This time you will be making your first dc in the NEXT stitch.
- Work 1 dc in each stitch around until end. Join in the usual manner.
- Work 1 more row of 1 dc in each stitch around, join.
- **You will now work your first decrease row** Ch 3,
- Work a dc decrease in the next stitch,
- 1 dc in the next stitch, dc dec in the next stitch, you will repeat this until you have 2 stitches left
- Dc in each of the next 2 stitches and join in the usual manner.
- Ch 3
- Dc in each of the next 2 stitches
- Dc dec in the next stitch
- Dc in each of the next 3 stitches, dc dec next, continue in this pattern until the end of the row. Join in the usual manner.
- Ch 1, sc in the same space as your ch 1
- Sc in each stitch around until end, join in the usual manner.

- The side?
- The back?
