Chocolate Dipped Peeps

Supplies:

• Peeps bunnies and chicks
• Candy Melts (milk chocolate, white chocolate, etc.)
• small bowl
• sprinkles

Steps:

1. Melt the Candy Melts according to package directions, in small deep containers. Dip each Peep in the chocolate.

 

 

 
2. Add sprinkles then allow the chocolate to harden. For the bunnies, I laid them on a piece of wax paper. For the chicks, I put them head first into tiny condiment cups.

 

 
3. Once the chocolate has hardened serve immediately or wrap in plastic wrap and keep them cool until ready to use. Enjoy!

These are adorable. I have trouble getting melted chocolate that isn't too thick. Does anyone have suggestions for thinning melted chocolate so it isn't thick but still hardens properly?

I've tried using the chocolate chips and the candy melts, but both seem too thick for my liking. Thanks.
