I've decided to have a chocolate themed birthday party. I'm going to have a chocolate fountain and different types of chocolates, truffles, and desserts. I'm decorating my lounge to look like a mini cafe and putting the movie "Chocolat" on in the background. I'm am looking for ideas for something else to do besides just eating. I would like something to fit with the theme and will take around an hour. Thanks.

How about a game. Divide the party goers into 2 teams (same number of people on each team), have each team form a line. On a table place 2 paper plates with the same amount of malt balls that is on each team. No chairs, the players must stand. Each person has to eat one malt ball. Hand the first player in each line 2 oven mitts, then a knife and a fork. With the mitts on, they use the knife and fork to pick up a malt ball and eat it. No fair using their hands, mouth, etc. to pick up the malt ball, just the fork and knife.
After the first player is finished, she hands the mitts to the next person in line. That person is given a clean knife and fork. The first team to eat all of the malt balls is the winner. This is fun, not easy to do, and if someone stabs a malt ball with the fork, it will shatter, so be ready to replenish the shattered malt balls. (05/05/2009)

No Cook Fudge
Put all ingredients in a gallon size Ziploc, get as much air out as possible and seal. Knead until
fudge. Turn out onto a plate or foil and then divide it up among the kids in each group.
Armpit fudge
(I haven't tried this recipe)
Place all ingredients in a sandwich-size plastic zipper-bag (Ziploc). Squeeze out all the air. Squish and moosh (under the arm) the bag until all the ingredients are well mixed and there is a creamy consistency.
Add any favourite flavours or other stuff (raisins, M and M's, peanut butter, chopped nuts, etc).
Take out a spoon and enjoy.
OR
try the "Patrol-size" version:

How about chocolate fondue which is a fun time when you sit around and make the fondue and talk. (05/09/2009)

How about a quiz about chocolate. Google or Wikkpedia for facts to use. Winner gets something that smells like chocolate, ie., lotion, bath salts, or body wash. Easy to make your own, get unscented and add chocolate extract from the cooking aisle or bulk food store.
