I just bought a house, the kitchen has light oak cabinets and a cream colored laminate counter top. The walls are beige colored too. What color of hardwood floor should I get?
Seeing everything in your kitchen is light colors...why don't you do your floor in multicolored hardwood. That way you willbring some depth to you room. I have seen them and they are beautiful!
Match the floor to the cabinets as close as possible and choose some fun colors to paint the walls :-) Walls are easier and less expensive to repaint when you get tired of the colors than replacing a hardwood floor ;-)
I am looking to install hardwood flooring in place of carpet in my family room, living room, hallways, and kitchen. I have medium to dark oak furniture and cabinets in the kitchen. I have cream countertops. I have light green walls. What color flooring should I use?

I would suggest a light golden oak. Dark finishes show dust and dirt. I think this might look best with your furniture and wall colors.
I just purchased condo on the 18th floor with a full southern view. I am thinking maybe I will get hardwood eventually. What colour or shade should I use? Thank you.

With a southern view it means there will always be sun. I would go with a light color like oak to avoid problems with uneven fading if you plan to use throw rugs or furniture.
I am planning to replace of my old kitchen cabinets with cherry wood. My couches are plush (pastel pinkish) color. My entire house has hardwood flooring except the kitchen, bathroom, and entrance foyer. I am planning to install multi-colors (more on reddish brown) on my kitchen floor, entrance foyer, and bathroom floor. What color should I choose for the hardwood floor? The kitchen, dining room, and living room are sort of an open concept. Thanks.
