Choosing a Kitchen Sink Color?

I have a black stove and a black refrigerator. What color sink would match, black or stainless?

Thanks.

Actually this would depend on your countertops. I like a green color sink in a kitchen that has black in it. But again if your countertops do not have green in them this will look horrible. Check out the color in your countertops and see how it looks next to your stove. Now pick one of the lighter colors in the countertop and try to match this color for your sink. I know you can always go back to stainless sinks but if you are looking for color I would try to get a color that fits with your countertops if it were me.

I would choose a black sink. Depending on the color of your counter top and the other colors you use in the kitchen, a black sink can complement almost any color scheme or décor.

Stainless is Timeless! That's my vote!

What kind and color counters and flooring do you have? We got stainless to showcase our laminate that looks like granite and while it looked good for a few months, I hate it now.

It scratches easily and streaks and always feels greasy. A cobalt blue would have picked up the blue flecks in the counter and matched the floor. Post back what you decide!

I would think a stainless steel sink would be nice .. a black sink would be a little over board.

I would still go with stainless. So much easier to clean and looks great! (:

Sinks are something we 'look' at many times a day so be sure you choose something that you can like rather than just trying to coordinate with another color.

It seems the overall color scheme of your kitchen should be the deciding point. Areas like the color of your cabinets, walls, counter tops, backsplash, and floors as well as appliances should be considered.
As a general rule, stainless is the first choice but if you have had stainless and feel a color would suit your overall colors then why not take some pictures and go to wherever you intend to buy your sink and talk with the coordinators there?
Pictures are not necessary but usually help.
Why not go to the kitchen section of Lowe's and Home Depot and see what the coordinators suggest. These are usually trained people and may have some good suggestions.
