I have two Bergere chairs that are red and white toile and check. My sofa is red and I have enough room for one more chair. What color should it be, solid or print? I also have a yellow ruffed ottoman do I keep or what?

I would use a solid red or yellow in the same color family as the pieces you already have.
What a lovely room!! I would like to see a pretty green (not Christmas green, but more of an olive or emerald) solid chair in the room. If you have room for the yellow foot stool keep it too!! Color is about what makes YOU happy!!! I am all about enjoying your rooms and keeping what you love!! There are no interior design police I know of so live it up and decorate in a way that makes you smile and feel warm and cozy!! Post back what you decide.
I thank you for your comment about our living room. Ill take another pic of the chair I was thinking of per your suggestion of a green chair.
I suggest you add a solid color chair, possibly with gray upholstery. Gray would pair well with the ottoman and the chairs you already have.
Here are some of chairs I was thinking.
I love the chair and think either is a win win!! My personal taste leads a little to the more emerald one, but I love them both. It looks comfy too! This sounds wonky, but if you can drop the pictures into powerpoint you can paste the picture of the chairs in and see which one you like.
Unfortunately Im not that computer savvy. Ill send you a pic of my entire living room and see what you can do. Your so nice to do that. sally j.
I am going to attach 2 jpegs (on my screen the emerald chair is on the left and the lighter green on the right). My renditions aren't perfect to scale (sorry), but it gives you an idea of how they will look in the room.
Hope it makes it easier for you to pick one! This is fun!! I wish I had really good software to do rooms! Sad I never pursued one of my dreams which was to go to design school. That was about 2 millions years ago though. I am too old now :) but this is fun play!!
They both look really pretty and I thank you for the suggestion. Dont think your to old, I myself applied to be a flight attendent at the age of 56. After a year waiting to be interviewed I made it, worked and after a few years I discovered I didnt like it.
You are very sweet and kind and very much an inspiration go out and be a flight attendant at 56 (any age really---it seems like it is such a challenging job)!
I am taking some big steps to reinvent myself as we speak, but unfortunately the schooling I would like is out due to costs, lack of scholarships and other unrelated personal challenges that make it impossible at the moment. Maybe later right as every day is a new beginning!!!
I do enjoy doing fun things like this and helping people!!!
Post back when you finish your room!! It will be lovely because it is yours!!!
