We have a big living room in a wintergarden (north-west) with lots of sun (in Portugal), viewing the green hills and the sea 10 kilometres areal distance away. Our floor is covered with big tiles (looks a bit like marmor, beige/sandy with a really very slight green impression, depending on the light, but all-in-all it's beige). We have a black/white cow fur (no need to keep, but quite like it).
I thought to get one sofa setting near the window in a beige colour and I am still hesitating about one smaller sofa towards the north, in the same room, in front of the TV (where the black/white cow fur lies). Walls are still white, we have a dark brown old coffee table and an old small dark brown cupboard with glass doors (both about 100 years old). Would a black sofa look good?
Should I paint the white wall behind the sofa? What about a grey/brown sofa or a dark grey sofa? Is grey cosy or not? We don't want a beige sofa in front of the TV, it needs to be less delicate; we also have a dog who likes cuddling with us on the sofa ;-) I was also thinking of adding a cushion in silver or gold or purple. Thanks for your ideas.
