Choosing the Best Eggplants

Here is a picture of a female eggplant (left) with a dash-shaped indentation on the bottom, and male eggplant (right) with a round indentation on the bottom. The males have much fewer seeds than its female counterpart, and is also less bitter in taste. Try to find the male ones when you shop for them.
