Take cinnamon, sprinkle ever so lightly where ants like to come in, even outside. They will not cross the cinnamon line!

I tried this in my kitchen recently because the sugar ants were starting to show up on my countertops. I scattered cinnamon behind my sink, which is where they seem to get into the house. I haven't seen an ant in days! I even left a box of donuts on the counter and they have been left entirely alone. Seems much safer than using ant poison or boric acid in my kitchen.
I use just a little bit of cayenne pepper and haven't seen ants in my cabinets for over a year. They do not like it at all.
Baking soda and icing sugar and a little water to make a paste. Ants eat this and explode.
i tried it all .they are amazing little fellows .they find away .so I take moo boards up an drill holes I sink under cabin it .then I use it all .cinnimon boric acid ant traps an killer.then threw out the yr I maintain an find new spots don't eat at home an no wet towels or water any where ...so I guess I'm saying the ants are winning cause I'm a cra cra now or still
