Cleaning Ceramic Top Stoves

To keep your ceramic stove top shiny like new, clean after cooking when stove is cold. First sponge top with Palmolive dish soap and water. With a straight razor dispenser (available at Home Depot) take off any cooked on stuff. Apply small amount of Cerama Ceramic cleaner, also available at Home Depot. Rub in with paper towel. Use clean paper towel to polish to a shine.

I also use Whirpool Ceramic Protectant once a week, which makes it easier to remove stains and cooked on food. I've had my cook top for 2 years, do a lot of cooking, and stove still looks shiny and bright.

Cleaning Ceramic Top Stoves

I would never buy another ceramic top stove, way too hard to keep clean. I thought it would be so much easier until I discovered that everything, even water, sticks and makes spots. Give me a good old fashioned gas stove with burner parts I can soak and scrub. (08/25/2009)
