I have an older shelving unit and the shelves are actually plexiglass versus glass. It's over ten years old. In the past couple years, I've noticed that even after thorough cleaning there is a dullness, unlike the clear glass-look when new. I have tried multiple household cleaners. My son recommended I try a As-Seen-on-TV product that cleans car headlights, but I would really prefer not having to order something. Anyone have any suggestions or remedies? Any ideas are appreciated! Thanks for your time!

Begin by removing excess dust or dirt from the surface of the plexiglass, but not with your usual duster. Use air to clear the surface, either by blowing across the pane or briefly using a blow dryer set to its coolest, lowest setting but don't ever heat plexiglass.
Once excess grime has been removed, spray a nonabrasive acrylic cleaner, such as Brillianize or Novus No. 1, onto a one or two-foot square section of plexiglass.
Once the cleaner has been applied, use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth.
