I have used a solution of Spic-n-Span and hot water to clean my wood cabinets in my kitchen. It gets the grease off and doesn't harm the wood. I would recommend trying it on a spot that can't be seen first just to make sure. (10/18/2010)

I use 409 it works great on the cabinets and doesn't harm them. I also use it on the stove fan and it cuts right through the grease on it also. (10/20/2010)
