Has anyone had good results cleaning cloth pleated shades? These are the kind that you pull the cord and they raise up. Thanks for any help on how to clean them.

We have pleated fabric blinds since we built the house 12 yrs ago. Once a yr we have run over them with Kirby blind tool, and once soaked them in the tub with mild soap and scrubbed the bad spots. You have to rinse many times. They look like new.
