We always wash our 2 outside dogs in Dawn liquid dishwashing soap! It's safe & effective & they smell great afterwards... at least until they find a mud pile! My bestfriend washes her 5 dogs in Dawn as well & they are all inside dogs! It also helps kill fleas & anything else that your dogs may "pick up" outside!

Thank you! This dawn bath is exactly what my vet said. He also said it killed fleas. I didnt do it because it seemed to easy. Because I had expensive shampoo. Tomorrow I will switch to Dawn

Dawn is full of toxic chemicals in the fragrance and is a petroleum product. Do not use on your pets! Thnx.

If this is the stink that comes back day after bath? The kind your hand smells putrid by a few pats of their had and back? Very specific instructions and cannot use on any collie type or sheepdog let me know and I will send you my phone or you can send me yours.

A cure is possible. I did my own under supervision from my old fashioned vet.

Would you share please....Have a black cocker that has a peculiar smell about a week after she has been bathed. Certainly don't want to dry out her skin (gets flakey) but she can get a sour odor and I could use some help.

Colloidal silver rubbed in to skin and fur will get rid of any bacteria or yeast caused smells. Once or twice a day, by the 4th day you should be able to notice an improvement.

see my other responses. i have a bullboxer who scratched and had stinky paws for years. my vet said the smell was normal, but it was becoming really strong and i knew she was uncomfortable. the best rinse for her paws i found was a dilute betadine solution. for a full bath, i used epsom salts in the water and a mild shampoo, making sure to dry her. but by far, the miracle was coconut oil.

i put some on about an hour before we walked two miles, and when i took her booties off, no smell. hours later, still no smell. the stuff soothed her sore pads and somehow prevented yeasty whiff. she isn't licking or chewing her paws either. it's cheap, non toxic, and a full on miracle for itchy uncomfortable skin or paws.

I have a Pomeranian and she literally smells the next day after bathing. I worry bathing her too much because of the smell will dry her skin out which I already treat her for dry skin.
