I just bought a pair of suede boots at the thrift store. It says upper leather and lining is manmade. The lining is shearling and I am wondering how to clean them. Please give me some advice! Thank you.

I would invest in a wire suede brush and brush them after each wearing. Dont wear in the rain or snow.
This is what I did when I got a pair of hand me down Uggs last season. www.thespruce.com/
Baking soda is the best to deodorize! Just be sure to shake it out well and keep it up away from pets. While it isn't poisonous per se, I don't like my fur babies getting into it...and since fur kids love to put their snouts in shoes, it is just common sense!
I agree with Pghgirl40 about using baking soda but it should be left overnight and placed in a paper bag if possible.
UGG boots are not the same as man-made material but I think it would work the same way.

However - you may want to call a shoe repair shop and see what they would charge to clean them - probably too much but they would probably look like new when you picked them up and probably cleaner than you will be able to do.
