My granddaughter used a thick white polish for leather on my marble dining table. She didn't remove it until the next day. I had trouble removing it, now I have a dull finish. It use to shine and now it looks dull and dirty. Is there anything I can do?

You can wash it with mild dishwashing detergent and warm water.
We grew up with marble window sills and we're never allowed to use anything but warm water on them and they had to be dried immediately with a white cotton rag. They are still gorgeous after over 60 years.
Today there are some supposedly safe marble cleaners, but I don't know I would trust them. Plus water works.
That said if doesn't remove the polish, check with a vendor that sells marble and ask for their expert opinion. It is a tough entity, but needs tender care. Good luck!!
