For best results in cleaning a ceramic smooth top stove, use Vileda. It easily removes baked on brown spots. It can be purchased at Canadian Tire for approximately $5.00 for 2 sponges. I had a very hard time cleaning mine, until I found this product.

If I do get burned on food or the cooking water from food spills over, I use the single edge razor blade to get the most of the gunk off. Then continue to follow directions from Cerama Bryte cooktop cleaner (I get it at Home Depot ). They also have Cerama Bryte cleaning pads for all smoothtops.
