Use Dawn and Baking Soda to Clean a Smooth Top Range

Total Time: 25 minutes

Yield: 1

Supplies:

• 1 Cups baking soda
• 2 Tablespoons Dawn
• 1 towel
• 1 bowl or bucket

Steps:

1. Clean any loose debris off of the range top.
2. Apply baking soda liberally to the top of your stove.

 
3. Add a squirt of a dish soap to a bowl of water. About 2 teaspoons of dish soap to 1 gallon of water.

 
4. Soak a towel in the soap and water mixture. Remove, leaving it pretty wet.

 
5. Place the towel on top of the baking soda.

6. Let sit for 20 minutes.

 
7. Remove the towel and then dry off the range with a paper towels.

 
8. Enjoy your clean and glistening range! The only stains not removed are seen in the picture below. Those can be be removed using a little Cerema Bryte (Affiliate Link). Cerema Bryte is nice to have around, but can be expensive for frequent cleaning.

Just curious, in the list of items needed, it has 2 Tbsp of dish soap, but in the directions/pictures it says 2 tsp...a bit of a difference.

Works great! Make sure you use enough water and a scraper or razor blade if theres a lot of burnt buildup. Stovetop looks like new!
