Photo Description
I got my father a clear birdhouse feeder because he adores interacting with animals, but he's now too old and fragile to go outside to play with them as often. I initially got it so he could watch the birds eat the food he left inside, but now it seems every creature visits-- which in turn has become quite the blessing! My father is so entertained by all the visitors coming to his living room window, and we can tell he has better days with his emotions and memory as someone with Alzheimer's. :)

Those pictures are as cute as can be! I like how that feeder is all clear as everything they're doing can be seen. Too cute!
Thanks for being so considerate of Dad and the birds. I know they all appreciate it. As part of my renovation, my old picture window will be replaced with a more energy efficient one. And as you might guess, I'm ordering one of these for that window.
Thanks for a very useful tip!
You're so welcome! I hope you enjoy yours as much as we are. It's funny because I could sit there and watch my dad's eyes light up as he watches the animals get a nice treat. Everyone and everything benefiting. Makes me so happy! :)
What a nice thing to do. It is very clear from your postings that you love and respect your parents. Sadly, something not often found these days.
Betty, your comment made me cry happy tears. My dad loves hugs and cuddles, and the thought of hugs from you all out there has just warmed me right up. It will brighten his day for sure, too. I hope having one of these bird feeders brings joy to you and yours, too. Hugs to you!
How lovely! Years ago my cousins got my aunt a similar feeder. Hers was different in that it was essentially a clear glass box with one side open which was closed into her double hung window. The box protruded into the house and was glazed with a sort of a hazy one-way mirrored coating so the birds couldn't see or become frightened by the people, dogs or cats inside the house.
