How do I remove cooked cloth from the bottom of a pan?

What works for me is to boil water in the pan and scrape off the stuck material as it is boiling. I have not used this for cloth but I have for seriously stuck food.
I tried this, and it worked! I sat the pot on a produce mat, and when I picked it up, the circle of foam and fabric was stuck to the bottom. I let it soak overnight, just scraped the foam off while running hot water on it.
I put my pot down on a drying cloth that apparently was not cotton and it melted on the bottom of the pot. I searched to find a solution which brought me here and I tried the acetone - did not work. I then tried the boiling water method putting some inside the pot but also soaking in the sink. After 3 soaks - I decided to get the razor blade and it came off fairly easily. Soak 1 and 2 I could get off some each time with my nails but my nails are now splitting and breaking - wish I tried razor blade sooner.
Please say what you soaked the pan in overnight. Thanks!
I think it was just water. One person boiled the water in the pan but the comment you responded to just left it in the sink overnight. You could probably add some dish soap if the plain water doesn't seem to be working.
Put it in the freezer and then scrape off.
