So I'm turning 14 in April which is a long ways away, but I liked to be prepared. I'm inviting my whole grade which is only about 40 people. I don't want to do anything too expensive, but I want it to be fun. I have already done rollerskating and animal shelters in the past. I have a big yard with a pool, basketball courts, and many other activities, but I just don't know if that would be fun for both boys and girls.

All those activities in your backyard sound fun. Why dont you add a piñata and a scavenger hunt?
40 people, definitely a house party would work. Like you said you have a big yard with a pool, basketball courts that will work.
You can have a pool party, bbq, pizza, music, dancing. Have options for people to play basketball, maybe fun twister game, or some games outdoors that way you can accommodate everyones interests.
Wow! It sounds like you have the perfect set up for the perfect party!! Sending birthday blessing to you on your April birthday! I am also an April baby but where I am, April is usually snowy so outside parties never happened.
You could come up with a fun theme to tie together all the things you described...I always wanted a Luau party:
I thought it would be so much fun and actually went one when I was a very little girl....I will never forget pineapple upside down birthday cake...where I came from that was so chic and exciting for me as a child. We all wore little plastic leis and the music was fun.
Hope you have an amazing day and year!! Post back what you decide to do!
