I have this wonderful wooden drawer. It "used" to keep spuds and bread and PB but I don't eat the first two now. There were some pretty drawers in the kitchen where I kept some tools there and some in another place and still some in some other place. Well, it was getting a bit silly. So today, I sat a coffee tub inside the drawer and it fit, then I figured out another 3 fit.
So, here is what I did. The tiny tubs inside the cans are smaller plastic containers for things like condiments. Then, the top one that fits inside the can perfectly is the applesauce tubs. Now I have screwdrivers in one, odd tools in another, Allen wrenches in a can, little things in the smaller spaces like matches and a bag of rubber bands.
And while you can't see it, there is a spool of clear tape that one of the cans is sitting inside. No wasted space at all.
You can play around with your cubbies and hidy-holes and find the best way to keep any one type of thing together. It could be tools, office supplies, craft supplies, you name it.
I hope this inspires someone! N-JOY!
