I love making glass jar lamps. This time I'm curious about how to make color tinted glass jars with PVA glue and without using glass paints. Let's see how it goes.
Supplies:
- PVA glue
- food dye
- water
- glass jar
- candle or any battery operated lights (optional)
- stirrer
- other accessories
- glitters (optional)
Steps:
- Pour water in a glass jar, about 1 tablespoon.
- Then add a few drops of food dye.
- Next, pour in an amount of glue. Make sure it has a little bit more volume than the water, say for example 2.5 tablespoons over 1 tablespoon of water. Then you can also add glitters if desired.
- Mix well with a stirrer.
- Turn and twist the jar to spread the mixture inside it.
- Take a piece of cardboard or paper and place the jar upside down over it. Allow excess mixture to drip down.
- Meanwhile preheat oven to 150 C (300 F) for 10 minutes.
- Bake jar in 15-20 minutes.
- Place the light inside and decorate with accessories.

Can these jars be washed, or used as a vase?
