I know that a lot of people say all you need to do is wait 2 weeks but professionals do recommend waiting 6 to 8 weeks before coloring it again. This will give your hair longer to repair its self and not damage it again. I would wait this long before coloring it again.
Yes definitely do not do it before three weeks, and 6 weeks is a good time, if you can stand to wait.
