I recently learned this tip from a professional runner I train with. When you have achey feet, soak them in warm water for a few minutes, then switch to a cold water soak for a few minutes. Go back and forth between these temperatures about 6 times.
I keep the warm water in my tub and have a basin of cold water right outside. This method moves any stagnant fluid out of your feet which is the source of the inflammation in your muscles.
