Does anyone know the recipe for McCormick's meat marinade? They are not making it now.

There are a lot of recipes for meat marinade mix but I have not found a copycat recipe. Maybe someone else will find one and post it for you.
Folks, here is my attempt to create the recipe for McCormicks discontinued Tenderizing Meat Marinade. It isn't 100%, but it's real close! I tried to reverse engineer their ingredients listed on the package.
1/2 Tbs. minced onion.
1 Tsp. black pepper
1/2 Tsp dry mustard
1/2 Tsp sugar
1/2 Tsp garlic
1 Tbs soy sauce
1 Tsp lemon juice
1/2 Tbs Accent
1 Tbs A-1 sauce
2 Tbs vinegar
1 Tbs water
1/4 cup oil.
Hope this helps anyone else to experiment and get it even closer!

I think they also include venal seed.
Try stubs meat marinade, taste to me almost better, I've been using McCormick meat marinade for almost 30 years, give it a shot
Close , but not right on , I used this product for years exclusive for BBQ chicken.
Well I had to find something , 1 small bottle Italian dressing ,1/4 cup red wine vinegar , s&p tt , not right on but close
Here's a recipe that I made up that gets pretty close to McCormick's Meat Marinade. It makes about 1 spice container's worth:
1 1/2 Tbsp Onion Powder
Is this for one serving use? Do you mix with the oil, vinegar and water? What are the measurements. Than you!
Meat Marinade to Replace McCormicks
1/4 C oil
2 TBSP vinegar
1 TBSP water
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp ground mustard
1 1/2 tsp dried onion flakes
Mix together, pour over meat. When using this to make a roast in the oven the drippings make a great tasting gravy! Enjoy!!
They do have this product on their website: www.mccormick.com/
Yes, but it says discontinued, or out of stock for all of their associated vendors.
I know this is a little off the beaten path, but I have purchased discontinued items on eBay--not food, but I found my friend's favorite blush and mascara for her at reasonable prices (they were discontinued several years ago).
I found items that still had valid dates, and a vendor with 100% feedback (always be aware of expiration dates and seller feedback ratings if you do this).
This price is CRAZY high for the McCormick's, but someone may eventually end up selling it for less...so it is out there on eBay:
No, they do NOT have this product on their website.
NO, they do NOT have this product at their website. If they did, you would be able to find it in your local grocery store.
their website does NOT have their meat marinade. I emailed them, and they said they discontinued making it because of low demand. However, I do NOT believe that.
No longer available. Any alternatives anyone knows of? My family had enjoyed this since the 70s!! My sister wants to hire a chemist to decide the recipe...
I checked their web site also but I tried several zip codes and all said "out-of-stock".
I did not find this listed on McCormick's discontinued list but I think it just has not been updated to include this item.
The McCormicks meat marinade mix was discontinued (unfortunately) in January, 2018. No longer available, unless you just find some residual stock somewhere.
Very disappointing, as it was a staple my husband used for years, grilling fajitas.
Have found nothing else that comes close and without the correct measurements for ingredients, is difficult to duplicate.
Emailed them and they told me it would be back in stock on Amazon and there website in may. Emailed them a couple weeks ago and they said that they are not going to bring it back. I have a new marinade, stubs meat marinade, also has the vinegar base and love it!

I use this recipe and it is good but it is for seasoning and not the marinade recipe that we were searching for.
Maybe someone will post a copycat for the marinade soon as many people are "waiting".
I have also been searching for this!! Nothing else tastes the same. I did find some in stock at spiceplace.com and was able to order 4 packets for $7.40 plus shipping.
The ingredients in order are: ONION, SPICES (INCLUDING BLACK PEPPER, MUSTARD, PAPRIKA), DEXTROSE, SALT, CORN MALTODEXTRIN, GARLIC, SOY SAUCE (WHEAT, SOYBEANS, SALT), LEMON JUICE SOLIDS, NATURAL FLAVOR, AND BROMELAIN (TENDERIZER). I just mixed up the ingredients, with 2 teaspoons of onion powder, down to under a teaspoon of salt. We will know soon how it tastes, but it looks right. Maybe too much paprika.
I'm sure there was coriander in there too, I've used this marinade for many years
I'm hoping to find the same. It's been a family favorite for years. Someone out there has to know what ingredients went into making the McCormick's original meat marinade. Please share?
Hello there, I too liked their old/original marinade, not just for the very unique flavor but how well it tenderized the beef. I had 1 envelope left & decided to find out what those ingredients could possibly be. My research paided off on 1 question, tenderizing. In a nutshell, PAPAYA, its a natural tenderizer. You read that right, PAPAYA. Turns out they recently started selling the very same one again. I found & bought, a number of those envelopes at my local ShopRight, Ramsey NJ 07446. Good Luck on your hunt, IF still doing so, Nurse Laura
I utterly hate the new McCormick marinades and loved the old Beef Marinade. I used nothing else for our steaks. I was very disappointed. I will try the two or three recipes listed here and look at Stub's. i cannot believe mcCormick tossed that awesome recipe out and then TRIED to replace it with about 4-5 others. i tried one and tossed it out. Thanks to all who have tried to replicate it and share their findings. i REALLY appreciate the efforts and the sharing.
Regarding the old (and much missed) McCormick's meat marinade; one thing I thought it contained was beef base or even bouillon mix. I have/ had used it since the early 80s and used it mostly for my tri tips. I will try some of the attempts at replication but include beef base in the mix and see how it goes, I do agree with papaya as that is a tenderizer, as is pineapple. Like everyone, I agree that there was no excuse for them discontinuing the product, I bought it every 2 months, 3 packs at a time.........
