Diamond Post Medal for All Time! 1,298 Posts Easily repurpose an empty tissue box into a coupon, receipt, or recipe card organizer. This could also be a bigger trinket box. It is very easy to make and personalize for you with items you have already at home!
Total Time: 1 hour
Yield: 1 box
Supplies:
- empty tissue box
- glue
- Xacto Knife
- stickers
- sticker ribbon
- micro spring clamp, optional
- cardstock paper
- white sticker label
- cardboard
- pen
Steps:
- Using an Xacto knife carefully cut along the 2 sides and longest side closest to you so that the box can open at the top with a flap.
- Trace the bottom of the tissue box onto cardboard for the base insert and cut out. This cardboard insert will allow your box to be more sturdy.
- Optional: I recycled cardboard packaging (very pretty print) that I already have from online orders and cut out to the size of the base. I glued the design to the base for the bottom of the tissue box.
- I measured and cut more pieces of the recycled cardboard packaging. Repeat for all the interior sides of the box. I used mini clamps to help secure the pieces for the glue to set faster.
- I ripped the clear flap off and put on more of the leftover floral packaging. In this area you can write something or put your name.
- To hide the edges/seams, I used sticker ribbon around and some cardboard stickers I have as decorative accents.
- You can leave the box as is, or complete it as your own organizer. I used cardstock paper and measured the length I want my dividers to be. Then, I took a piece of paper and folded to fit in the box vertically.
- Then secure the flaps with glue. Measure out more cardstock as your dividers. For the divider labels, I stuck white labels together.
- You are now ready to organize your coupons, or recipe cards, etc., however you decide to use your box.
