I have a Craftsman LT2000 riding mower. I received it last year from my grandfather. The mower was burning oil so I replaced the head gasket and tuned it up. The mower continued to burn oil and smoke lightly. This year the smoke has been really noticeable and it is burning 40z of oil or more per hour. I noticed a gas smell in the oil, so I replaced the needle and seat in the card and put a manual fuel shut off in the gas line. Still, there is smoke and burning oil. So I just replaced the carb and it still smokes and smells of gas in the oil, as well as still burning oil. What else could this be? Could the head gasket blew again?

You could have a stuck solenoid.
Sounds like you have tried a lot and are getting nowhere which is super frustrating. It may be time to call in the big guns, and find a reputable repair shop to check it out. Sometimes that is the best as self repairs sometimes can be penny wise, but pound foolish!
I only say this from years of experience and DIY gone wrong that cost me WAY more than if I would have gone to a pro in the first place.
Good luck! This is not the time of year to be mowerless!
