I replaced the battery. My mower doesn't even make a sound when you turn the key. Also, the electronic deck won't raise or lower. It usually will, even when the mower is turned off. I've repeatedly moved and reset all the levers, etc. thinking something was stuck, but again, the deck should still raise/lower. Any ideas?

Have you checked the solenoid and the ignition switch? Here is an article that may help:www.lawnmowerforum.com/
Here is a link to Sears repair and they have a lot of information on your model but you can send them your question and someone will contact you about your problem. They are very good about helping people with Craftsman mowers.

This is not a battery problem. A new battery will raise and lower the electronic deck. You have a short in your wiring or a contact problem. I would call Sears. They have excellent customer service and are so willing to help. My father always swore by craftsman tools. When one was broken, Sears always replaced it for free.
