Delicious pork chop main dish on mashed potatoes.

Yield: Four servings
Ingredients:
- 4 pork chops, boneless
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 3/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Cayenne pepper, optional
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 medium yellow onion, diced
- 8 oz fresh sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup parmesan, grated, optional
Steps:
- Heat olive oil in electric skill. Saute chopped onions until browned. Mix seasonings together in a small bowl.
- Add pork chops to onions and sprinkle seasoning on both sides. Brown on one side and turn over. Add about l/2 c water and let simmer for 30 minutes on low. Remove meat and set aside.
- To make gravy, add cornstarch mixed with water to drippings. Add mushrooms and cream. Stir until thickened. Add meat to gravy mixture and serve over mashed potatoes.
