Creamy Pork Chops

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 1 hour

Yield: Four servings

Ingredients:

  • 4 pork chops, boneless
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 3/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Cayenne pepper, optional
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 8 oz fresh sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup parmesan, grated, optional

Steps:

  1. Heat olive oil in electric skill. Saute chopped onions until browned. Mix seasonings together in a small bowl.
  2. Cooking the pork chops in a pan.
     
  3. Add pork chops to onions and sprinkle seasoning on both sides. Brown on one side and turn over. Add about l/2 c water and let simmer for 30 minutes on low. Remove meat and set aside.
  4. To make gravy, add cornstarch mixed with water to drippings. Add mushrooms and cream. Stir until thickened. Add meat to gravy mixture and serve over mashed potatoes.
  5. Mixing the gravy in the pan drippings.
