examples of the three aging methods When we talk about making a scrapbook, the first thing that comes to mind is memories. Most are memories from the past that are hard to forget. In a scrapbook, it's always fun to put all the things that you want to remember in the future. It is also nice to have a concept based on a topic that you write on each page.

Memories sometimes get associated with "old" things. So, I thought of a concept where I made a scrapbook page look old, just like our past events in life.

Here are three ways to design your scrapbook pages without using much of any coloring materials.

Supplies:

paper
black and colored pens
coffee
paint brush
old pictures
candle and matchstick

Creating Aged or Distressed Scrapbook Pages

Steps:

If you have leftover coffee, don't throw it away. Add a little amount of coffee granules then brush it onto a piece of paper. Let it dry for a while and when it's totally dried, write your memories on it.

Light a candle and get a piece of paper. Carefully place the sides on fire to create a burning border design. Blow away the flame when it's partially burned on the side. Write down your memory and attach to your scrapbook. Editor's Note: Use caution when working with flame and have a fire extinguisher handy. It would be a good idea to do this step over your kitchen sink.

Another way to design your paper is to simply crumple your paper after writing on it. Then flatten it back out and paste in your scrapbook.
