Can I use regular kitchen cabinets and laminate countertop for my outdoor patio/lanai? It is slightly covered. I don't want to spend thousands on outdoor cabinets and thought this would be much cheaper.

Sounds like a great idea. I would suggest you to get a Barbecue done in your outdoor. If you have a pool side view then spending time out there with your loved ones would be an awesome experience. Do give it a thought.
