I like to take advantage of warm weather to dry clothing outdoors. Even though I have a couple of drying racks, sometimes it was not enough. I did not want to invest in an outdoor clothesline that would have to be removed every time the lawn was mowed and when the winter came. I solved my problem in several ways.
I hooked together four bungee cords and attached them to my chain-link fence. This is great for large items. I also used the support poles of my awning for large items. The laundry basket edge is great for socks and small items. When the laundry is done, all these items easily are brought inside for next time. No need to spend more money.

woow!! awesome ideas
There is no reason to take down clothes lines. I dried my clothes for decades that way, even hanging clothes outside in the winter in cold climates. In cold climates in winter, you hang the clothes out overnight, and remove them to next day.
Good idea!! Like my clothes dried outside!
The old fashioned clothesprop clothesline means you don't have any issue if having to mow a lawn. String the line between two support poles/trees and then use the prop to hoist the line up higher. I also have carport lines up especially for cooler times in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia. Really try not to use the dryer unless I absolutely have to.
These are great ideas! Thanks for sharing them with the community.
Great tip! I will be doing that! I love sheets and blankets on the line to dry.
I started this once, already, then the doorbell rang. The rest is history. I used to hang my clothes outside all year long even in the cold weather climates. Hang them out, leave them overnight, and the next day they will be dry, albeit frozen. Don't bend them til they soften, warm up, and you've got the softest wash possible.
