Ingredients:

• 1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
• 24 mini beef sausages

Steps:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Unroll the crescent dough onto a cutting board. Separate the crescent triangles.

 
3. Cut each triangle into 3 long, narrow pieces.

 
4. Lay a sausage onto the dough at the wide end. Roll the sausage up in the dough.

 

 
5. Set them on an ungreased cookie sheet, point side down.

6. Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Halfway through baking, rotate the pan.

 
7. Serve warm with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Seriously? This recipe has been around for decades. The one thing the "old" recipe does not say is to cut each triangle into thirds (they call for using an entire crescent). I have cutting mine 3 ways, since I saw the recipe. There is no need to use 1 entire triangle.

As an aside, before making these, I place them in the freezer for a good 20 minutes. This way the dough is more pliable.
